Poem: Frozen River Time

Frozen River Time

Was the answer in her eyes that night?

As he gazed into her soul in fright

Did the corners of her beating heart

Encase his love in clouded parts?

What hour did the clock strike then?

What minuet did love commend?

To orchestrate such gentle streams

While stars gave blessed aqua beams

And when did aura’s consummate?

Causing fireflies to celebrate

Did time just then facilitate?

What distant sorrow suffocates?

How did these lovers come to show?

The world and what it now, bestows

Such romance tied by knots of lives

Unyielding to betraying knives

It matters not what hides in books

Of treasured and deceitful looks

Because this love that’s frozen time

That sits on river’s grace and might

Has aided her, in sealing scars

With him in love, time holds no bars

As wedding bands outshine the stars

“I love you” holds the river, forever in the hearts
